Wylie ISD Background Check
All volunteers must have a current background check on file. Background checks are available to complete online through Wylie ISD.
WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement, organizations in the country. T-shirts can be ordered below.
M.O.D. Squad (Moms On Duty) is a district school-based program for moms to become involved at their students’ school. T-shirts can be ordered locally and will be sent home with students.
Interested in being a WatchDOG or MOD Squad?
Fill out the form below if you are interested in volunteering as a WatchDOG or MOD Squad MOM. Both programs are designed to provide positive role models, engagement in education, and give an extra set of eyes to enhance security and reduce bullying.

Daily Orientation
Follow your student’s Daily Schedule
Stop by the office if you have any questions throughout the day
Be approachable – smile, talk to the students, listen to them
Be smart – follow the school’s policy on appropriate conduct and behavior towards the students and faculty
Be alert – if a situation arises, please report it to a school official
Be available – the goal is to be of service to the school, teacher, and students
Be a positive role model
Please follow district guidelines while on-duty
Never use the student (boys’ or girls’) restrooms
Always use the faculty/staff restrooms.
Never be alone with students
Follow the school’s confidentiality policy regarding students and staff
Do not use profanity
Do not use any form of tobacco on the school grounds
Do not share religious or political views
Limit personal use of cell phones
Never engage in any conduct that brings disrespect to yourself or your student(s)
